OK so here is the deal, I have been very lazy about keeping my blog up to date. So much has happened since my last blog. We found out that Jared and Heather are having a girl, so much for my boys only blog. Lori and I are looking forward to having girl in the family. I guess she will be spoiled beyond belief, I don't know what to do with little girls so I guess this old dog is going to have learn new things, after all I did turn 50 on my last birthday.

So here is what happened over the Holidays.

Jared and Heather flew into town, Heather came first and then Jared followed about a week later and stayed about 10 days. Heather visits with her family while Jared stays in Philly and when he comes into town they all gather at our house, so we had a wonderful vist with the kids. Tagen was always the cutest, however he is two and his personality is really starting to come out and he is pretty smart. Heather is the greatest mom and has a lot of patience, she gets a lot of practice with Jared. Christmas was great Lori and I went overboard on Taegen but found it was hard not to after all we only have one grandchild right now so we can spoil him to death. I was a lousy grandpa and did not take pictures, shame on me but what I did do is take a picture of Taegen helping me shovel snow. When Jared was Taegen's age I bought him a little snow shovel so he could help me and over the years the other boys helped with this same shovel and for some reason it never found it way into the garbage can and while I was out shoveling little T pitched a fit until his mom dressed him and I found that same shovel and he helped me just like his daddy.

School is going well for Jared, he is about 2/3 of the way through his 3rd year. He is going through rotations this year getting a little experience in different fields. He started the year by doing Internal Medicine, loved it! then it was on to OB/GYN, loved it! so much that for now it is one of his top fields then it was onto Psych, loved it more than he thought he would. After Christmas he started his Surgery rotation and is loving that as well. Jared reports that he had his first experience of stitching up a gentleman who was handcuffed. It seems this fine upstanding man did not want to pay his $1,000.00 bar tab so the bouncer bounced his head off of some hard object. Next he reports just last week he was involved with two back surgery's with one of them being a liver transplant he reports that it was just assume!! Jared just finished his ortho surgery rotation and loved it and is now thinking about ortho surgery. I know what ever field he chooses he will do well in.

Trevor is doing well in school, between work and school he is busy. You know what they say about no rest for the wicked, I guess he is so busy that he is making up for his past wickedness. Trevor works in a long term care facility and lost his first patient just after Christmas. The family honored Trevor by mentioning him in the obituary and thanking him for his service to their father. I always knew Trevor had a kind and caring heart he just worked so hard and proving to others that he was just the opposite. Trevor has always cared for patients with respect and dignity, at times it has made co-workers jealous because of the relationship that he has with his patients. Trevor gets mad at them because they don't treat their patients with respect and dignity that they deserve. By summer Trevor will have finished his schooling and studying for his RN test. I know he will do well!!

Brett and and Joey are rolling along. Brett forgot to look where he was going and backed into a snow plow and took $2,000.00 out of savings for car repairs. At least he was not on the phone, or was he? Brett spent the holidays working at Toys R Us and did a good job for them that they decided to keep him on.

Joey is doing well in school and is enjoying his 6Th grade year, big man on campus and all that.

He was a big help with Taegen durring thier visit even so much so that they became buddies. I know Lil TJ loved hanging with Joey because he did when ever he could! Joey is really gentile with the little kids that they like him alot, they remember him and even his name where they don't remember others name.

My next post will include some photos from a little R & R that some of us are going on at the end of the month. We will miss Jared and Heather but medical school comes first, Trevor and Melissa get a few days with us but the two younger ones get the full 11 days in ........

Aloha for now!
