This is a story about a Mom and Dad who have 4 boys.
Three of the boys came to the world in the normal way with Mom being pregnant for 9 months. The fourth came to us when he was 7. As I like to say Mom was pregnant for 7 years and did not know it.
We Love them all and would not want to trade any one of them even with all the learning opportunities that they shared with us.
This blog is dedicated to them and their journeys. They are my Heros!
Jared Alan Johnstun
Normal delivery is a relative term for the oldest Jared (1980) Mom had a difficult delivery with him. Mom developed late term Toxemia and had a rush delivery. Labor was 22 hours of very intense pain Mom could not have the epidural block because it slowed his heart beat down. I like to say that he has a been a pain from the get go and we had many learning opportunities.

Trevor Joseph Johnstun
Next to come was the little terror know as Trevor (1984). When he was born he came with red curly hair. People would come up to us and ask where he got his pretty red hair and we would reply, from the mail man. That comment came to a screeching halt when someone asked Jared who was 3 where his brother got his pretty red hair and he said matter of fact from the Mail Man! Trevor has lived up to his red hair and gave more but different opportunities to grow as parents.

Brett Loren Johnstun
Next in line came shy but stubborn Brett (1989). After Trevor mom said no more kids but 5 years latter she had a change of heart. Delivery for him was quick but difficult we almost lost him due to the cord wrapped around his neck a couple of times. Mom went into normal labor a first for her and he was born on pioneer day about 2:00 am. Brett was not into sports like his brothers. He did not like football or baseball but loves soccer, he captained his high school soccer team his senior year. He was a gem growing up, after the first two he was a god send Mom would have gone nuts if he wasn't mellow.

Joey Scott Johnstun
Last but not least is Joey (1996). Mom was in the mood for only 3 kids but when Brett was 12, Jared was away at college for some strange reason we decided that we were shy one kid. You would think after 3 boys we would be interested in a girl but for what ever reason it just wasn't in the cards, so along came a blond haired, blue eyed boy who has been pretty much a gem except for when he has what we call Joey moments, not at all out of normal for his age group. I had him and 6 buddies in my old van on the way to a birthday party and they drove me nuts I was about ready to slit my wrists and the drive was only 15 minutes.
